CONSULTING CIVIL ENGINEERS
1150 W. ROBINHOOD DRIVE • SUITE IC • STOCKTON, CA. 93207 • PHONE (209)957-6111
KENNETH H.GLANTZ,P.E.
LAWRENCE B.DEIMLER.P.E.
DELMAR G.DORMAN,L5. p
ARTHUR H.BECKWITH.P.E. July 12, 1982
San Joaquin County Local Health District
1601 E. Hazelton Street
Stockton, California 95205
Attn: Fred Kaufman
Gentlemen:
Our client, Lurtsema-Patick Financial Co. is proposing to construct several
commercial buildings on Parcel 'A' , as created by the parcel map recorded
November 13, 1978, Volume 6, Parcel Maps, at Page 183• This property is in
the proposed Saddle City Subdivision (Tentative Map S-81-11) .
We are proposing to provide domestic water from the existing well on Parcel
'B' to serve these establishments. The well was tested in 1981 by Nelson
Laboratories of Stockton; copies of those tests are enclosed. Under what
conditions would this proposal be acceptable to the District?
In regard to sewage treatment, we are proposing to construct individual grease-
traps and septic tanks (multiple, if required by flow) to serve each building.
The effluent would be collected and discharged to a common disposal area. The
estimated total flow would be approximately 20,000 gallons per day. The system
would be designed in accordance with Health District requirements. It is our
intention to work with the District in designing the interim treatment/disposal
system.
The water and sewerage system would be operated and maintained by the property
owner(s) . As you are aware, the buildings would remain under one ownership
until such time as a "final map" is recorded. At such time, these facilities
would be abandoned since public water and sewerage facilities would then be put
in operation.
We would appreciate your comments and conceptual approval of these proposals.
If we can provide any additional information, please contact our office.
Very truly yours,
GY,Tw.a..
LAWRENCE B.
