#26 Approved Thawing Methods <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed chicken thawing in 2 comp sink submerged in water,the water was turned off. Observed <br /> packaged pork thawing in a plastic container filled with water. Provide approved thawing methods such as submerged under <br /> cold running water or under refrigeration.The water for the chicken was turned on but the sink compartment was drained. <br /> Keep food items submerged in water with the water turned running. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Food shall be thawed under refrigeration completely submerged under cold running water of sufficient velocity <br /> to flush loose particles in microwave oven during the cooking process.
