I I -4466g 3X30/® MACHINERY Pape Machinery's service technicians conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment for the San Joaquin County Solid Waste Division. The Pape service technicians generate non-RCRA hazardous wastes (used oil and used oil filters)when conducting the service. This letter describes how the waste is managed from point of generation to the TSDF. Transfer from the customer's location to the point of consolidation: • The wastes generated and collected by Pape are transported from the customer's location to the point of consolidation,the Pape Machinery facility,located at 8621 S El Dorado Street, French Camp CA 95231. This facility operates under EPA Generator ID CAL000291922. • The hazardous wastes are managed in accordance with all federal and CA laws concerning storage and handling during generation,transport,storage,and recycling/disposal. • Each waste type is stored in a closed container that is labeled as hazardous waste,and transported in a Pape vehicle to the consolidation point. Transfer from the Pape facility to the TSDF:. • Wastes are routinely picked up from Pape Machinery within the permitted accumulation limits. • Waste transport is performed by World Oil(Asbury Environmental Services), World Oil operates under transporter EPA ID CAD028277036. • Used oil,used ethylene glycol,and drained oil&gas filters are picked up on a World Oil consolidated manifest and shipped to a recycling facility. • Waste fuel and contaminated DEF(rarely generated)are shipped under a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest to the appropriate TSDF. • Oily solids are likewise manifested and shipped to Yuma Environmental Services(YES), 2730 E.13 St in Yuma,AZ 85365. Yuma Yes operates under TSDF EPA ID#AZR000515924. • Battery transport is performed as an exchange program with the battery vendor. Lead- acid battery cores are recycled by the vendor;the vendor provides receipts. • Pape sends a copy of the initial generator manifest to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control(DTSC)within 30 days of waste pickup and retains a copy of the manifest signed by the TSDF. • Pape Machinery retains at least three years of records of hazardous waste transport and disposal (service orders,bills of lading,receipts,and/or Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests). The records are available at the facility for inspection by the COPA. Pape will initiate leaving a receipt(example attached)of the type and quantity of wastes that are removed from the customer by Pape service technicians.
