LNTRODUCTJON <br />Our office was (mnuacted by Pastor Matt Linder of Central Vallcy Baptist Church, to <br />conduct a soil suitability/nitrate loading study (SS/NLS) far a proposed chttrch facility to be <br />located at 10948 S: Airport Way, Manteca, California.. A site plan for the project was prepared <br />by Quartaroli & Associates, Manteca. Tbc Ass¢ssors Parcel t-`umbcr is 204-020-04 containing <br />16.67 acres (Plate 1).. The San Joaquin County Community Development Dcpariment Use <br />Permit Number i5 UP -01-9. <br />l Ttiis SS/NLS was required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Public Hera th <br />Services, Enviroumcntal Health Division for project approval. The.SS/NLS was conducted to <br />• determine whether the proposed parcel is suitable for the use of a'scptic system and th.c septic. <br />systems potential impact to ground -water quality. the study was perfonned a&orditig to the <br />rcquirements.oi= gec ion 9-1105.2(d), of the San Joaquin.County Development. <br />Our office understands San Joaquin County Public Health Ser c e.% Eavironmenlal <br />Health has required a SS!TII.S as a condition for a rue permit. The scopeof work for the SS/NLS <br />included drilling a soil baring, a percolation test, an examination of the pubhAexl soil <br />ittformaticm, gexologic maps; available ground water infiFrmatiori, explatdwry fiorinsslogs, <br />1 percolation rates, and a septic and ;well permit record search. In addition, a gmurA-water :'41e <br />was analyzed for titrate and DBCP.' - <br />
