SANAAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />COUNTY <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Facility Name: <br />KUIL, DALE <br />Facility Address: <br />22844 S FREDERICK RD, RIPON <br />Date: <br />January 26, 2022 <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />Item # Remarks <br />406 CCR 66261.7 Empty hazardous waste or material container greater than 5 gallons not managed per this section. <br />OBSERVATION: One white plastic 30 gallon drum was observed in front of th storage without the word "empty and <br />date. <br />- Seven green and white plastic 55 gallon drums was observed in front of the storage without the word "empty" and <br />date. <br />- Two green and white plastic 55 gallon drums was observed on the side of the storage without the word "empty" <br />and date. <br />- One blue and white plastic 55 gallon drum was observed on the side of the storage without the word "empty" and <br />date. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous <br />waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 66261.7. Refer to this section <br />and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage <br />within one year of that date. Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261.7. Provide a corrective action <br />statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br />within 30 days. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by 2/26/2022. <br />Waste streams found: <br />- Drained oil metal filters <br />- Used Paper filters <br />- Contaminated oily rags <br />- Used oil <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br />of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br />($152).
