[EHD] <emanzo@sjgov.org> <br />Subject: [EXTERNAL] Simplot -4863 Carpenter Rd - Roundup Spill - C00053079 <br />Importance: High <br />[Warning: External Email] <br />Hi John, <br />As we discussed earlier today, you will have a lab analyze the three confirmation soil samples that were taken today, in <br />order to determine if the soil is contaminated from the Roundup spill, prior to backfill. Photos of the spill and sampling <br />areas are attached. <br />Submit the sample analytical once you obtain it. <br />Regarding the excavated soil, our inspector Jason Gaitan spoke to Robert Pelletier, Deputy Agricultural Commissioner, <br />regarding the spill. Robert stated that he discussed the spill with his pesticide inspector and both determined that they <br />would not approve the resale of soil impacted with Roundup to farmers.
