STATE OF CALIFORNIA—HEALTH AND WELFARE AGENCY GEORGE DEUKMEJIAN, Governor
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES
31 E. CHANNEL STREET, ROOM 270
STOCKTON, CA 95202
(209) 948-7697
July 8, 1988
W. G. Atteberry
Atteberry & Associates
P.O. Box 818
Roseville, California
LOCKEFORD BLUFFS SUBDIVISION
L rr;.LTH
FERi"vmv/5-
Plans of the Lockeford Bluffs Subdivision in the Community of
Lockeford in San Joaquin County have been received and reviewed
for compliance with the Department of Health Services water -sewer
separation guidelines. This subdivision has been designed with
barely sufficient fall for adequate sewer service. The result is
the water main must cross under the storm drains and sewers at
several locations. The intent of the guidelines is that where
physical constraints are such as to make full compliance with the
separation standards impossible, mitigating measures (use of
Class 200 C 900 pipe, etc.) could be provided so the project can
proceed. The use of mitigating measures is not intended as a
means to alleviate financial constraints.
These plans are being approved as meeting the water -sewer
separation guidelines with the understanding that sewer and storm
drain laterals which cross over the water main will be Class 200,
C-900 pipe or the equivalent. Enclosed is a copy of the
separation guidelines so it will be clear what is considered to
be equivalent.
Robert W.
