The maximum attendance
will be 120. Although only forty (40) parking spaces are required (1 parking space is required per 3
attendants), the site plan proposes forty-nine (49) parking spaces for visitors.
Marketing Plan
The applicants are proposing twenty-five (25) marketing events per year. These events will consist of
a variety of activities. These events include dinners, receptions, and fundraisers for charitable
organizations and will include indoor and/or outdoor activities. All food will be served and prepared
by off-site caterers (with the exception of bread, crackers, and cheese in the tasting room). Marketing
events will typically occur once a week, usually on a Saturday, during the months of March through
October. The average length of an event is four (4) hours, and each event will end by 10:00 P.M. in
accordance with the Development Title (Section 9-1075.5[m(B-2)]).
Letters of Opposition
The Community Development Department received two letters of opposition regarding the proposed
project. The letters raise concerns about wastewater discharge, groundwater impacts, and the level of
noise and traffic generated from the winery.
San Joaquin County SA-01-951Hartzell
Community Development Page 4
