HARMONY WYNELANDS WINERY
Harmony Wynelands has been having wine made from its grapes since 1997
The Harmony Wynelands brand or label was first used on our"old vine"zinfandel wine from the
1997 vintage. We had the grapes crushed and fermented at a small Lodi winery. The wine was
stored in oak barrels until bottling. We obtained the necessary licenses from Alcohol Beverage
Control (ABC) and began selling our wine at events at Harmony Wynelands and at stores in
Lodi. We also bought Chardonnay wine from a local winery and had it bottled with our label.
In 1998 we received a license as a"Bonded Wine Cellar" from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco
and Firearms. We again had grapes from our vineyard crushed at a local winery and stored the
bottled wine in our bonded wine cellar.
In 1999 we again had "old vine"zinfandel wine labeled under the Harmony Wynelands label and
are currently selling it. We also bought more Lodi Chardonnay bottled under our label and had a
small amount of champagne labeled under our Harmony Wynelands label. Anticipating the
passage of the new San Joaquin County Wine Ordinance in 2000 we applied to the Bureau of
Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms for a Winery License. We received it in early 2000.
In 2000 we had our Zinfandel crushed at a small winery where it is currently being stored in oak
barrels waiting bottling and labeling. We have applied to Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) for
our winegrowers (02) license, but cannot finalize it until the new winery is constructed. With that
license we will be able to operate our tasting room, and will be able to crush grapes and make
wine at our new winery facility.
What will the proposed Harmony Wynelands Winery look like?
The winery complex will consist of:
• A new 2400 sq. ft. building immediately south of the existing barn. It will include wine
making facilities, laboratory and wine making equipment, refrigerated case goods and barrel
storage, and ADA approved bathroom facilities.
• Above ground storage tanks for winery waste water.
• Above ground storage tanks for reserve water in the event of fire as required by the fire
department.
• A new septic tank and leach lines to accommodate the bathroom facilities, and sink in the
wine laboratory.
• A new 1200 sq. ft. concrete slab between the barn and the winery.
• A 1500 sq. ft. wine tasting room in the existing barn.
• An office in the existing barn.
• A large patio area to the west of the existing barn
• New parking facilities to accommodate 48 cars.
334304-3
