HARMONY WYNELANDS WINE MARKET PLAN
We currently anticipate selling all of our wine on the premises. This is because the margins are
considerably greater if one can sell directly to consumers without paying a percentage to
wholesalers and retailers. With the small volume of wine we will be starting with, it is important
to maximize the profitability of each sale.
Based on the experience of other wineries in the Lodi area we plan to be open to the public on a
drop in basis for wine tasting on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April through October.
We will be open for wine tasting at other times on an appointment basis.
The existing large room in the barn will make an excellent wine tasting room. In addition we
will be able to offer the wine tasting experience in the patio area and the winery area, depending
on weather conditions. The large patio area and gardens will be most conducive to attract
customers to our facilities. In addition, the large theater pipe organ will be a unique marketing
tool and should aid in attracting potential customers. We feel we will have one of the most
"tourist friendly" and attractive wine tasting facilities in the Lodi/Stockton area.
As a means of increasing our wine sales, and to supplement income from the sale of wine and
grapes,we intend make our facilities available for events on an appointment only basis. These
events will range from special dinners, receptions, fundraisers for charitable organizations and
other similar events that are appropriate to the size of our facilities, parking, and bathroom
facilities. It is important to note that we will either serve or promote our wine at all such events.
All food served on the premises will be prepared by licensed caterers. We will have cheese,
crackers, and bread that is prepared on site that will be served in the customary way as a part of
the wine tasting experience.
334208-3
