Garcia-Mejia, Regarding violation#307,very small amounts of liquid, as was noted, are commonplace in sumps.This occurs when water vapor in the air cools inside the sump and creates condensation. If this was a quart or so of liquid or sufficient quantity to trigger the sensor, I would agree that this would be from a source outside the vent sump.A review of maintenance work orders in the seven months prior to your inspection, which would include the rainy season, has not shown a liquid alarm in the vent sump.This is verification that the seals are tight.There is nothing which supports the assumption that this amount of liquid is from water intrusion. Violation#307 remains open at this time,the water removed from the vent sump was around 1 cup. No water should be able to enter the secondary containment. Investigate where or how the water intrusion is occurring and address it accordingly. Once you've found the root cause and addressed it please let me know.
