Please see#202, 110, 303, 601 &605. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: The business operator could not provide hazardous waste disposal records for 2020-2022 for <br /> acetone rags,waste paint and spent paint booth filters. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a copy of disposal records for 2020-2022 for all hazardous waste including <br /> waste paint, acetone rags and spent paint booth filters. Provide these records and a corrective action statement to <br /> the EHD within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 202 HSC 25189.5(a)Disposed or caused disposal of hazardous waste at an unauthorized point. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following wastes were allowed to evaporate per Tim (Paint Room)and Dan Woodson <br /> (Production Manager): <br /> -Acetone waste from cleaning paint guns <br /> -Waste Matthews Paints(placed on Panaflex and once dry disposed of in trash) <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the causing thereof, is prohibited when the <br /> disposal is at a facility which does not have a permit from the department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any <br /> point which is not authorized according to this chapter. Hazardous wastes shall be disposed of only by <br /> transportation to a permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility(TSDF)or other authorized <br /> point. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately cease disposal of waste acetone and paint by evaporation.
