SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Zac Ellis to conduct a <br />Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for his property located at 2227 West <br />Sargent Road, Lodi, California. <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br />Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Development <br />Mr. Ellis intends to build a new home on the Site. <br />Site Description <br />The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 025-160-46, 1.52 acres in <br />size. The Site is located at 2227 West Sargent Road, Lodi (Plate 1). <br />The Site is currently vacant; a vineyard was recently removed (Plate 2). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 27 to 28 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br />(Plate 3). <br />According to the San Joaquin County District Viewer (sjmap.org), the Site is zoned AG - <br />40, General Agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning <br />designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br />commercial agriculture enterprises" (San Joaquin County Community Development <br />Department. <br />LOGE 2103 Page 1 <br />
