Brusca File No. 137-002
Page 10
December 14, 2018
Murphy Parkway Property Waste Materials Management Verification Report

7.0 SUMMARY AND CLOSING

As described herein, capped waste materials were excavated and removed from the WU1 portion
of the subject property earlier this year in accordance with agency-approved workplan
documentation. Our observations, as well as laboratory testing of verification soil samples
beneath the removed wastes, indicate that the WU1 removal activities were successful. Based on
the laboratory analytical results, residual soil conditions in this area do not pose an unacceptable
risk, considering future commercial/industrial site usage.

The excavated/removed waste materials from the WU1 area were stockpiled onsite, sampled, and
tested for an extensive suite of chemical analyses. Based on the laboratory results, it was
determined that it was appropriate and acceptable to reuse the WU1 materials in cement-treated
subgrades for the building pad and pavements during construction at the site. Our observations
indicate that the waste reuse activities were performed in accord with the approved workplan
documentation.

This report will be submitted to the SJCEHD, the CVRWQCB, and CalRecycle for review and
approval. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the
undersigned at (916) 677-1470.

Sincerely,

BRUSCA ASSOCIATES, INC.

Joe Brusca
Principal Engineering Geologist
Certified Engineering Geologist No. 1948

JB:jb
