The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for a Building permit: X a. Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of: X 1.) Appendix III-A of the Uniform Fire Code (public water Mains). 2.) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code (static water supply). 3.) County Fire Chiefs Standard enclosed. b. Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix III-B of the Uniform Fire Code. X c. Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. d. All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems and water-flow switches shall be monitored in accordance with 904.3.1 of the California Fire Code. e. Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 of the Califomia Fire Code and the standard adopied by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. a f. Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with 902.4 Key Boxes: A Knox Box shall be installed according to fire department instructions. -X g. Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Volume 2, Standard 10-1. h. Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or property. CFC 105.2.1 I. Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes (ammonia, etc.)
