Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the <br /> state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a <br /> level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br /> Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project <br /> applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide <br /> alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. <br /> SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0300612 (SA). This project involves a proposed a 40 <br /> x 32' off-site wine cellar building. The project is located north of Harney Lane and west of <br /> Alpine Road; east of Lodi. <br /> This project will require the conversion of Orchards or Vineyards and as such should condition <br /> the project applicant(s)to participate in the SJMSCP. The current fee for the conversion of <br /> Orchards or Vineyards is $845/acres. <br /> The project is located within the unmapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the <br /> SJMSCP those projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory <br /> Committee(TAC)prior to participation. <br /> If you have any questions,please give me a call at (209) 468-3913. <br />
