Harney Lane, APN 061-133-28
SA-01-77, Lodi, CA
Dear Mr. McCarty,
Per your request,we are pleased to present an addendum to the Soil Suitability Study for SA-01-
77. We understand a new 40-ft x 32-ft steel building with restrooms is proposed for the site.
The building will be used for winery related activities.
Mr. Mike Huggins, Supervising Environmental Health Specialist of the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) had discussed the scope of work with you necessary
for the permitting of this building and septic system. Mr. Huggins confirmed with our office that
a percolation test would be required for the proposed leach field. He also mentioned that the
work performed could be discussed in an addendum to the original Soil Suitability Study
completed for the Bed and Breakfast facility under permit SA-01-77.
The following addendum report describes the soils encountered and percolation rates measured.
This letter does not address septic system sizing. Mike Smith Engineering Inc., Lodi, has
completed a site plan showing the building location and septic system layout/size for the site.
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
Percolation Test Boring Locations
Four percolation tests were completed on March 16 and March 17, 2004, within the proposed
septic system leach field. Please refer to Plate 1 for locations. The four percolation tests were
drilled within approximately 4 to 8 feet of each other at various depths.
LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way,Lodi,California 95240 ■209.367.3701 ■ 209.369.4228 ■www.noanderson.com
