A building permit for each separate structure or building is required. Submit plans, <br /> Specifications and supporting calculations, prepared by a Registered Design Professional (architect <br /> or engineer)for each structure or building, showing compliance with the applicable California Building <br /> Standards Code in effect on the application date for the building permit(s). Pians for the different <br /> buildings or structures may be combined into a single set of construction documents. <br /> 2. Projects that include the use of an existing structure or building that was approved with a different <br /> occupancy classification than the proposed use, will constitute a change of occupancy. A change of <br /> occupancy will require a code analysis report and necessary plans prepared by a Registered Design <br /> Professional (architect or engineer) in accordance with the California Building Code and Existing <br /> Building Code in affect on the application date for the building permit(s). The report and plans shall <br /> identify existing conditions, propose alterations necessary to bring each building into compliance with <br /> the code. The applicable accessibility requirements as outlined in Chapter 116 of the California <br /> Building code shall be included with the building permit plan set for each new or altered structure or <br /> building including the project site plan. <br /> 4.
