Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the <br /> state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a <br /> level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental.Quality Act(CEQA). <br /> Although participation in.the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project <br /> applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide <br /> alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. <br /> SJCOG, Me, has reviewed application.PA-0400234(SA). This prgicct involves erecting a 100- <br /> foot monopole communications facility with five radio equipment cabinets. The project is <br /> located north of State Route 120 and west of Van.Allen Road;northwest of Escalon. <br /> This p.i-oject will.require the conversion of Multi-Purpose Open Space habitat and as such should <br /> condition the project applicant(s)to participate in the SJMSCP. <br /> The project is located within the u,ntnapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the <br /> SJMSCP talose projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory <br /> Committee (TAC)prior to participation. <br /> If you have any questions, please give ane a call at(209)468-3913. <br />
