AA_NCONSTRUCTION
TESTING SERVICES
October 18,2021
Paul Schneider
President and Managing Principal
Siegfried
3428 Brookside Road
Stockton, CA 95219
Subject: Percolation Test Summary Report
Holly Commerce Center
20500 Holly Drive,Tracy,California 95376
Dear Mr. Schneider,
Construction Testing Services (CTS) is pleased to present the results of the percolation testing performed
on October 12,2021,at Holly Commerce Center located at 20500 Holly Drive in Tracy, California. Based
on discussions with you and outlined in our Proposal for Percolation Testing, Holly Commerce Center,
P20472, dated September 10, 2021, we performed percolation testing for two future buildings at the
proposed Holly Commerce Center. The tests were performed in general compliance with the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD)guidelines for permitting and performing percolation
testing for commercial structures,EHD 42-01-002 Revised 5/24/2021.
Based on our review of the design layout for the Holly Commerce Center, Buildings H&I, prepared by
Phelan Development, dated September 28, 2021, four(4)potential leach fields are identified and range in
size from between 1,542.56 square feet.to 2,015.55 square feet.
At each proposed leach field location one (1) percolation test was performed for a total of 4 tests at the
project site. See Plate 1 for site vicinity and Plate 2 for test location details.
Percolation Testing
The field percolation test locations were selected by you, identified as PT-1, PT-2, PT-3 and PT-4, were
each dug using a 3.5-inch diameter hand auger and drilled to target depths of approximately 48-inches
below the existing ground surface.Following the drilling, the sidewalls of each test hole were scarified with
a wire brush to remove any smearing of the walls which occurred during drilling. The depth of each test
location was extended a few inches to allow space for the placement of a coarse sand bedding. The soil
cuttings were visually inspected by a Certified Engineering Geologist and included approximately 1 to 2-
1/2 feet of coarse gravel and aggregate base and generally underlain by sandy lean clay and sandy silt.
The test holes were drilled and constructed on October 11,2021. Twenty-four hours prior to testing the test
holes were hydrated to ensure saturated conditions for testing.
On October 12,2021,eight(8)test readings were taken at thirty-minute intervals at each of the four(4)test
locations. Percolation rates of the subsurface soils were calculated from the field percolation readings.
4400 Yankee Hill Road,Rocklin,CA 95677•Phone(916)419-4747•Fax(916)419-4774
2118 Rheem Drive,Pleasanton,CA 94588•Phone(925)462-5151•Fax(925)462-5183
