Based on the information provided in SSNL study, the EHD finds that the long-term addition of nitrates added to
the sites, will be acceptable within the acceptable level of 10 mg/L. Calculations in the SSNL study indicate an
estimated level of 9.1481 mg/L of nitrates.
2. Percolation tests conducted on October 12, 2021 yielded a percolation rate of 40 minutes/inch. At this rate, a
five-foot soil separation shall be required between the bottom of dispersal field and groundwater. These
requirements are pursuant to San Joaquin County Onsite Wastewater Treatment Standard table 1.10.2.
1. Per the SSNL Study, groundwater on sites are reported between 7 and 12.5 feet below surface grade. An
engineer design will be required for all new septic system(s) and repairs to mitigate distance between
groundwater and OWTS.
➢ Note: Engineering design submitted along with the study submitted satisfies this requirement. The
following details were noted:
• Pump: Zoller 163 '/2 hp with 2" FM.
• Discharge Assembly:
o The 2" discharge pipe from the dosing tank to be connected to a 4" PVC tight
line (30 linear feet long minimum) by a 2X4 reducer.
o The distribution box is to be designed with a 2" drop at the entrance.
o A total of five (5) outflow pipes (4"PVC tight lines) connected to the distribution
box. (2 linear feet minimum for each tight line)
o At the transition to the perforated lines, the pipes will drop 2" to the edge of the
leach field.
o At the edge of the leach field, the 4" PVC tight lines will be connected to
perforated leach lines. All perforated leach lines will lay flat and have a 4"
diameter.
1868 E. Hazelton Avenue Stockton, California 95205 1 T 209 468-3420 1 F 209 464-0138 1 www.sjgov.org/ehd
