Locating and repairing fittings within the tank sumps during the pretesting is more efficient and less confining than during the final testing. 3. Primary piping should be under test pressure when LDT arrives onsite. Secondary Piping and Connections: 1. MDleak®- does not require special fittings to be installed by the contractor. 2. The contractor should use standard approved factory secondary termination fittings or boots. 3. Secondary piping should be under test pressure when LDT arrives onsite. 4. All termination secondary fittings shall include test ports. Test ports shall be accessible to the LDT Technician. Vent Piping: 1. Extraction plugs should be installed and sealed properly 2. Vent risers should not be caped and the contractor should be capable of working on the top of the vent risers. VR Piping: 1. Extraction plugs should be installed and sealed properly 2.
