This is a violation of the Total <br /> Coliform Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) , California Code of Regulations (CCR) , Title 22 , Article 3 , Section <br /> 64426 . 1 . <br /> The French Camp Golf & RV Water System owner or operator shall : <br /> 1 ) Notify the persons served by the water system in the following methods of a Water Quality Failure , and <br /> using the language of Enclosure A: <br /> Continuous posting of Notice of Water Quality Failure - Notice by posting in conspicuous places within <br /> the area served by the system shall be initiated within 14 days after the violation or failure . Posting shall <br /> continue for a minimum of seven days and as long as the violation or failure exists . <br /> AND <br /> (Direct Delivery of Notice of Water Quality Failure) - Notice by direct mail or with the water bill shall be <br /> given once within 30 days after the violation or failure. The Department may waive the requirement for mail <br /> delivery if it determines that the violation or failure has been corrected within the 30-day period . If such a <br /> waiver is given it shall be given in writing within the 30-day period . Repeat notice by mail shall be given at <br /> least once every 3 months for as long as the violation or failure continues . <br /> 2) The Environmental Health Department (EHD) received a completed and signed copy of the required public <br /> notification and the methods you are using dated September 11 , 2013 . <br /> 3) Sample, after receiving notice of a Routine sample testing positive for bacteria , by instructing your <br /> laboratory to collect four Repeat samples WITHIN 24 HOURS OF BEING NOTIFIED and to collect five <br /> Routine samples the following month , as per the Sample Siting Plan . <br /> 4) Instruct your laboratory to test for the presence of total coliform using enumeration test methods and for <br /> chlorine residuals on all Repeat samples . Please be aware that bacteriological and chlorine residuals <br /> results collected for a system in a calendar month shall be reported to the EHD no later than the tenth day <br /> of the following month . <br /> 5) Submit to the EHD within 30 days the enclosed Positive Total Coliform Investigation form with <br /> information on the current status of physical works and operating procedures, which may have caused the <br /> elevated bacteriological findings , any information on community illness suspected of being waterborne , and <br /> corrective actions taken to correct the violation .
