COMPLAINANT ALLEGES POOL WAS CLOUDY AND <br /> MILKY COMPLAINANT ALSO ALLEGES THAT THEY WITNESSED A HOMELESS MAN GET INTO THE POOL AND <br /> LITERALLY TAKE A BATH USING A BAR OF SOAP AND A WASH CLOTH. MAINTENANCE MAN DID NOTHING <br /> DESPITE WITNESSING THE ENTIRE THING. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s)116043, 116040,& <br /> 116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The cyanuric acid was greater than 100 ppm. Maintain cyanuric acid between 0-100 ppm when <br /> operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Operation records for pool testing were not maintained. Provide daily testing for pool chlorine and pH <br /> levels and monthly testing for cyanuric acid, maintain testing records on site. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual,pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pool water was cloudy, bottom of pool was visible. Maintain clear pool water. Submit evidence of <br /> correction to dafonskaia@sjgov.org within 1 week. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br /> pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
