Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Dear Ms. Mueller:
Thank you for the opportunity to review the Site Approval application for conversion of an existing shop
building to farm equipment repair for Mary E. Hendricks. The project site is located at 13695 E. State Route
(SR) 26,400 feet east of Jack Tone'Road, west of Linden(APN: 091-050-15).
We have circulated copies of the application and plans to our Traffic Operations/Safety Units for review. Please
include the following comments as conditions of approval for the project:
1. Caltrans requires a right of way dedication to 15.24 meters (50 feet) from c6nterline for (SR) 26 fronting the
subject property.
2. Caltrans has commercial standards for driveways serving a commercial use with direct access onto state
highways. Any new driveways as well as existing driveways shall be built or upgraded to current state
standards. Where applicable any sidewalks, curbs and gutters, or ramps shall comply with the American
Disabilities Act. The standards are available from Bill Lamascus, (209) 576-6299.
3. A Caltrans Encroachment Permit will be required for any work performed within the right of way.
Additional biological, archaeological or other environmental studies may be required as a part of the
encroachment permit application. A qualified professional must conduct any studies undertaken to satisfy
the Caltrans environmental review responsibilities. Ground disturbing activities to the site prior to
completion and/or approval of required environmental documents may effect Caltrans' ability to issue a
permit for the project. Furthermore, if engineering plans or drawings will be part of your permit application,
they must be prepared in metric units.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please contact Mike Higgins, at
(209) 948-3996 (email: mhiggins@dot.ca.gov).
Sincerely,
T DUMAS,Chief
Office of Intermodal Planning
609540.MUELLER.SJ.MARY HENDRICKS
HIGGINS.Ir
