GP-99-3 AND ZONE <br /> RECLASSIFICATION APPLICATION NO. ZR-99-11 OF MARY HELMS <br /> -------------------------------------------------- <br /> The applicants have submitted the above referenced applications to change the General Plan <br /> designation and zoning of an approximately 3-acre portion of a 5.26-acre parcel from A/G to I/L <br /> and C-X to I-W, respectively. The underlying project, though not a part of these applications, is <br /> to obtain the required permits for an existing truck parking and repair facility that has been <br /> established without benefit of the required permits. The site does not have public services. The <br /> project is located in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Interstate 5 and Kasson Road, <br /> south of Lathrop. <br /> These items are scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on March 2, 2000. The <br /> Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed General Plan Amendment <br /> and Zone Reclassification and will be recommending that the Planning Commission forward the <br /> General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification to the Board of Supervisors with a <br /> recommendation of approval. <br /> Limited Industrial Development And Locational Criteria (pp. IV 31,32) <br /> This project is being considered an expansion of an existing I/L area located to the northwest of <br /> the project site. The General Plan Industrial Development Chapter contains the following <br /> Development and locational criteria for limited industrial area: <br /> (1) Limited industrial area shall be developed so that industrial activities are conducted <br /> entirely within enclosed buildings and outdoor storage areas are screened-, <br /> • All present and any future development shall comply with this regulation. <br /> (2) Limited industrial areas shall be developed so that buildings are no more than 100 <br /> feet in height and occupy no more than 60 percent of the lot area except in areas <br /> zoned Warehouse Industrial where they shall occupy no more than 40 percent of <br /> the lot area-, <br />
