GP-99-3
AND ZONE RECLASSIFICATION APPLICATION NO. ZR-99-11
OF LTH TRUST (C/O LEE HELMS)
(FIFTH SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration;
2. Adopt a Motion of Intent to Approve General Plan Amendment Application No. GP-99-3
based upon the "Basis for General Plan Amendment" (Attachment "A"); and
3. Adopt a Motion of Intent to Approve Zone Reclassification Application No. ZR-99-11 based
upon the "Basis for Zone Reclassification" (Attachment "B").
BACKGROUND:
The applicant has submitted applications for a General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification to
change a three acre portion of a 5.26 acre parcel. The applicant proposes to change the General Plan
from General Agriculture (A/G) to Limited Industrial (I/L). The applicant also proposes a Zone
Reclassification change from Crossroads Commercial (C-X) to Warehouse (I-W).
The underlying project, though not a part of these applications, is to obtain the required permits for an
existing truck parking and repair facility that has been established without benefit of required permits.
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning Commission considered this matter at its meeting of September 7, 2000. The project
remained on the consent calendar and the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend that the Board
of Supervisors approve the General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification applications.
The applications are consistent with the General Plan and Board Order B-00-437, pertaining to General
Plan Review, adopted April 11, 2000.
BOS LETTER PAGE 1
