All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br /> #1 Demonstration of Knowledge <br />OBSERVATIONS: The food manager's certificate for Jaime Torres expired on March 13, 2021. Provide proof of renewal of <br />the 5-year food manager's certificate to cmuro@sjgov.org within 30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br />assigned duties. (113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1) Any food handler hired after June 1, <br />2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days (113948). <br /> #32 Food Properly Labeled and Honestly Presented <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed Peruano beans repackaged with a posted sign indicating the contents of the repackaged food <br />item. The individual packages were not labeled. Label each package of Peruano beans with the following information: <br />1. Common name of the food. <br />2. Quantity <br />3. Name and Place of Business (doing the repackaging). <br />Correct within seven days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Any food is misbranded if its labeling is false or misleading, if it is offered for sale under the name of another <br />food, or if it is an imitation of another food for which a definition and standard of identity has been established by regulation. Food facilities <br />with 19 or more chains in the state shall disclose nutritional information. Clean and sanitize <br />the deflector panel today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All utensils and equipment shall be fully operative and in good repair. (114175).
