'This will insure that the TIS submitted follows the Department's guidelines <br /> as stated in the Caltrans Guide for the Preparation of Trq ffic Impact Studies, dated <br /> December 2002 (T.IS gWdc). Tbc TIS guide is available online at the following web <br /> address: http://www.dot,.ca.,gov/hq/tpp/Planning—tools/tools.htm. <br /> • Jf the applicant does choose to change the use of this,property, the Department <br /> supports the concept of"Fair Share Contributions" by developers for future highway <br /> projects that may be required to maintain the existing level of service_ <br /> • Also is the case of future development proposals, an Encroachment Permit will be <br /> required for work(if any) done within the Department's right of way. This work.is <br /> subject to the California Environmental Quality Act. Therefore, additional biological, <br /> archaeological, or other environmental studies may be required as part of the <br /> encroachment permits application. A qualified professional must conduct any such <br /> studies undertaken to satisfy the Department's environmental review responsibilities. <br /> Ground disturbing activities to the site prior to completion and/or approval of required <br /> environmental documents may affect the Department's ability to issue a permit for the <br /> project.
