February 2,2006
NOA Project Number: E05058B
The septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach lines.
3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity /
No septic system repair permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at EHD on
January 23,2006.
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
According to the NOA Questionnaire, no development of any structures is proposed for the subject /
property. The Site will continue to be farmed. If there is to be any construction, septic system design C
should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site. /
The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current maps available from the county.
Examination of these maps indicates that no water level data is available for the Tracy/Banta area,
which includes the Site, and no definite comments as to depth or gradient flow direction can be
made. No groundwater was encountered during any of the drilling of borings to a depth of
approximaley three a-nd a half feet—Nogroundwater was encountered during the drilling of a 8.5
foot boring on February 2,2006.
4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the /
soil suitability study.
Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources which often include
leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water
infiltration. Any past agricultural activities and the present use of septic s ems-in the area should
be considered potential ground-water contamination sources. Please see e tion 4.4 Or additional
water quality details.
4.3 Water Sample Location
No well permits were found during file review at the EHD on January 23,2006 for the subject
property.According to the Environmental Questionnaire there are no wells on the subject property.
4 '0004
