June 1,2005 <br /> NOA Project Number: E05058A <br /> 2.3 USGS Topographic Maps <br /> The topographic quadrangle depicting the subject property is the U.S. Geological Survey, Vernalis, <br /> California, quadrangle map. One 7.5-minute maps dated 1991 was available at NOA and through <br /> Microsoft Terraserver. <br /> In the 1991 map,the subject property is depicted as vacant or crop land located at 50 to 65 feet above <br /> mean sea level. The property and vicinity slope down to the northeast at a rate of approximately 15 feet <br /> per mile. Surrounding land is vacant or crop land with scattered residences. The Banta Carbona <br /> Irrigation Canal is depicted to the southeast of the subject property. <br /> This map is included in Appendix C of this report. <br /> 2.4 Interviews <br /> An attempt was made to obtain historical as well as current information relative to the subject property <br /> from the property owner or key site manager of the property. On April 10, 2005 an Environmental <br /> Questionnaire and Disclosure Statement was completed by Mr.And Mrs. Stan Robertson.A copy of <br /> their responses has been included in this report as Appendix E. <br /> In the responses to the questionnaire, Mr. and Mrs. Robertson indicated that the current title of the <br /> subject property is the Gerald A. Robertson Living Trust dated August 9, 2002. Stan and Betty <br /> Robertson are undertaking the responsibility for the process of land division of the subject property, <br /> according to an interview with Gerald Robertson's nephew, Hal Robertson,who is also the tenant of <br /> the subject property.The past and current use of the property is farming.The Robertsons indicated that, <br /> to their knowledge, no structures, hazardous materials storage or tanks have been located on the <br /> property, nor are they aware of significant spills of hazardous materials on the subject property. <br /> 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION <br /> 3.1 Research Methods <br /> NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the <br /> location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, <br /> and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets <br /> within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address <br /> ranges. <br /> 4 "044 <br />
