All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Missing life ring with rope. Provide life ring with rope prior to re-opening pool. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed damaged coping creating sharp edges. Repair/replace damaged coping prior to re-opening <br /> pool. <br /> Observed damaged drain cover on pool deck. Repair/replace cover prior to re-opening. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br /> top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br /> diving board,ADA device, or slide. (CBC 31146)Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Right ladder hand rail is loose. Secure today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111 B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The deep end skimmer was missing an o-ring and weir and the side skimmer was missing the float <br /> assembly and o-ring. Provide within 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
