02324 Trenching <br /> 1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Perform Work in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Works Standard Plans and <br /> Specifications. <br /> B. Maintain one (1) copy of each document on site. <br /> 1.06 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br /> A. Verify field measurements prior to fabrication. <br /> 1.07 COORDINATION <br /> A. Section 01300 - Administrative Requirements: Coordination and Project conditions. <br /> B. Verify Work associated with lower elevation utilities is complete before placing higher <br /> elevation utilities. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 FILL MATERIALS <br /> A. Subsoil Fill: Fill materials shall be as specified on the plans and the project geotechnical <br /> report. <br /> PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 LINES AND GRADES <br /> A. Lay pipes to lines and grades indicated on Drawings. <br /> B. Architect/Engineer reserves right to make changes in lines, grades, and depths of utilities <br /> when changes are required for Project conditions. <br /> C. All construction staking for utility trenching shall be provided under the supervision of a <br /> Land Surveyor licensed in the State of California. <br /> 3.02 PREPARATION <br /> A. Call Underground Service Alert at 800-227-2600 not less than 7 working days before <br /> performing Work. <br /> 1. Request underground utilities to be located and marked within and surrounding <br /> construction areas. <br /> B. Identify required lines, levels, contours, and datum locations. <br /> C. Protect plant life, trees, lawns, rock outcropping, water fountains, benches, tables, and <br /> other features remaining as portion of final landscaping. <br /> D. Protect bench marks, existing structures, fences, sidewalks, paving, and curbs from <br /> excavating equipment and vehicular traffic. <br /> E. Maintain and protect above and below grade utilities indicated to remain. <br /> 3.03 TRENCHING <br /> A. Excavate subsoil required for utilities to install utility services. <br /> B.
