Comstock Rd. <br />Linden, CA. 95236 <br />RE: Well Pump Inspection <br />Well <br />Location: 17205 Copperopolis Rd., Linden Permit #: WP0042746 <br />Inspection <br />Date: 03/24/2022 <br />The Environmental Health Department recently conducted a water well pump inspection at the above address and <br />found the following issues at the time of the inspection. In order to protect the ground water supply and your water <br />source from potential degradation, please take the associated corrective actions. <br />N Lack of or Inadequate Concrete Platform around Wellhead. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.10. — Surface Seal) <br />Corrective Action: Repair existing or install a new concrete platform around the wellhead that extends <br />two feet in all directions from the well casing. <br />❑ Lack of or Inadequate Sanitary Seal at Wellhead. <br />(SJC Ord. Code, Title 9, Section 9-1115.5. — Well Regulations) <br />Corrective Action: Install a sanitary seal between casing and well cover plate/seal all gaps and <br />openings. <br />❑ Lack of or Inadequate Sampling Tap. <br />(SJC Water well Standards, Section 4.13. — Sampling Tap) <br />Corrective Action: Install a non -threaded sampling tap between the wellhead and the check valve or <br />within three (3) feet of the well head. <br />❑ Lack of or Inadequate Backflow Prevention. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.14. — Backflow Prevention) <br />Corrective Action: Install an approved protective device to prevent backflow and/or back siphonage <br />into a well. <br />❑ Sounding Tube or Air Vent not Sealed. <br />(SJC Water Well Standards, Section 4.13. — Sounding Tube/Air Vent Pipe) <br />Corrective Action: Sounding Tube or Fill Pipe -Install a watertight, threaded cap at the upper end of <br />the pipe. Air Vent -extend pipe 12 inches above with end inverted in a downward <br />direction and covered with 16 -mesh screening. <br />❑ Excessive Vegetation or debris around Wellhead. <br />(SJC Ord. Code, Section 9-1115.4. — Dangerous/Nuisance) <br />Corrective Action: Remove and maintain debris and vegetation away from well area. <br />If you have any questions, contact: Michael Suszycki, Sr. REHS (209) 598-7001.
