Containers of drained UOFs must be labeled as "drained used oil <br /> filters" and not as hazardous waste. Generators of UOFs must indicate the initial date of <br /> accumulation on each container of filters. <br /> Locations receiving UOFs must place the date of receipt on each container of filters <br /> received. These dates are used to calculate storage time compliance. <br /> Accumulation. Accumulation of less than one ton of UOFs is limited to one year. <br /> Accumulation of one ton or more of UOFs is limited to 180 days. All accumulation <br /> beyond these limits requires a hazardous waste facility permit. <br /> Transporting Used Oil <br /> Prior to transporting individual containers of used oil, FACILITY NAME facilities must <br /> ensure that shipping containers for used oil are labeled with a hazardous waste as <br /> follows: <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE-State and Federal Law Prohibit <br /> Improper Disposal.
