• Determine a spill has occurred. <br />■ Notify the SHSO <br />• Identify protective clothing or equipment required to respond. <br />• Contain the spill. <br />■ Document incident. <br />EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE <br />If an earthquake should occur during the course of site activities, the following steps should be <br />taken: <br />■ Stop working. <br />■ Remain calm and do not panic. <br />• If indoors, stay indoors away from windows and take cover under heavy furniture or <br />inside walls if possible. <br />■ Do not use or do anything that might be a source of ignition, i.e., smoking, cutting, or <br />welding. <br />■ If outdoors, stay away from power lines, power poles, and window <br />SITE EVACUATION PLAN <br />In the general case of a large fire, explosion, or toxic vapor release, the site must be evacuated. <br />Personnel must evaluate the situation and assess the upwind direction. Personnel must evacuate <br />to an upwind location following these steps: <br />• All personnel will assemble in an upwind area when the situation permits; a head count <br />will be taken. <br />■ Determine the extent of the problem.
