The property was bounded by private property on the
north, Henry Road on the east, private property on the south, and the Santa Fe Rail Road
on the west. The site was eventually bisected by Santa Fe Road.
Based upon a report from the State of California Department of Public Health Bureau of
Vector Control, dated November 21, 1956, the disposal site accepted mixed refuse and
rubbish, cannery waste, and apricot and peach pits. The pits were dried, recovered, and
removed from site, although some quantities were included in with disposed waste and was
covered. Salvaging of rags, bottles, metals, etc. took place as part of the waste disposal
CIWMB 7
