PEN SURVEY
C O M P A N Y
1121 OAKDALE ROAD,SUITE 6,MODESTO, CA.95355
PHONE:(209)526-9724 FAX:(209)526-0472
November 30, 2006
Palomino & Sons, Inc. Soil Sampling
3309 Sierra Avenue Santa Fe Road Disposed Site
Riverbank, CA 95367 San Joaquin County
23023 S. Santa Fe Road
Escalon, CA 95367
Dear Mr. Palomino:
Relocation of sampling sites:
Methodology:
Information provided by California Integrated Waste Management Board (Appendix E)was
entered into two separate software conversion files. Corpscon 6 and SPC 83. The results
were compared and found to be within 0.001 feet of tolerance. The information from the
SPC 83 results was entered into a usable database software Trimble Geomatics Office TM.
Control:
Two random control points were placed at safe strategic positions on the subject site. The
two points were observed by GPS static for a minimum of two hours. Observation files were
sent to the National Geodetic Online Positioning Service for coordinate processing.
Coordinates were received and entered into the database.
Layout:
Using the database control coordinates, each of the five sample sites were reestablished
by triangulation using real time kinematic method of GPS surveying.
Contradiction:
The points reestablished are based upon coordinate datum provided by California Integrated
Waste Management Board (Appendix E). This information was passed through our client
to us. The accuracy and reliability of this information is unknown to Aspen Survey company.
No presumptions have been made as to the nature of this information. The information from
Appendix E was used verbatim using the methods outlined above. Further surveying may
be required should the above outlined methods be found to contradict the original method
of establishment. Should this event occur, the original methods of establishment shall be
fully disclosed to the retracement surveyor(Aspen Survey Company) prior to any additional
retracement exercise.
