Santa Fe Road, Riverbank, CA, (APNs 249-060-13) <br />Dear Mr. McClellon: <br />PHONE (209) 848-8270 <br />FAX (209) 848-8274 <br />SALINAS (831) 758-0096 <br />Mr. Palomino has completed the characterization and profiling of stockpiled soil at the site and <br />anticipates transporting the soil to Waste Management's landfill in Kettleman Hills, California during <br />the month of June 2008. <br />Three separate soil piles have been sampled for characterization at the site. Ground Zero Analysis, <br />Inc. sampled a small soil pile on September 30, 2005 and Lee & Pierce, Inc. sampled two soil piles <br />on November 13, 2007. Waste Management has reviewed the profile documentation submitted for <br />the soil and has accepted the soil for disposal. An estimated 15 cubic yards of soil will be disposed <br />as RCRA soil contaminated with lead, an estimated 30 cubic yards of soil will be disposed as non- <br />RCRA soil contaminated with lead, and an estimated 30 cubic yards of soil will be disposed as non- <br />hazardous soil. The soil will be transported by Denbeste Transportation Inc. (CA 120057) to the <br />Kettleman Hills facility for disposal. Table 1 presents a summary of the soil stockpile analytical <br />results. A copy of the laboratory reports are attached. <br />All earthmoving activities will be conducted pursuant to the field and safety procedures outlined in <br />the September 22, 2004 Site Mitigation Workplan, and the December 17, 2004 Addendum to <br />Workplan for Site Mitigation, both prepared by Ground Zero. <br />Mr. Palomino and/or Lee & Pierce, Inc. will notify San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br />Department at least 72 hours prior to mobilizing to the site for soil disposal activities. <br />
