State of California J The Resources Agency
Memorandum
To Mr. James A. Robertson at: ✓j y 1973
Executive Officer
California Regional Water Quality NO No.:
Control Board, Central Valley Region
3251 S Street Subject: Tentative Order,
Sacramento, CA 95816 Forward, Inc. Class II-1
Solid Waste Disposal Site,
Austin Road, San Joaquin
From Department of Water Resources County
We have reviewed your tentative order- dated March 13.
1913, for the proposed solid waste disposal o eration located sever,
miles southeast of Stockton.
`~ .l We concur with the tentative order.
We suggest minor revisions as shown below.
L=! We .offer the following information.
Your revised tentative waste discharge requirements preclude disposal
of liquids in the Class II portions of the site and require maintenance of a
depressed water table under the site. This, together with your proposed
monitoring and reporting program, would eliminate the need for a 2-foot thick
impervious liner under the Group 2 wastes as suggested in our memorandum of
January 10, 1973.
ORIGINAL SIGNED BY
ROI3rN R.
