The site investigation will <br />include sampling the buried waste material to further characterize the chemical and physical properties of the waste. <br />The investigation/sampling is warranted to identify potential hazards to public health and safety and the environment, <br />which may have resulted from previous solid waste disposal operations. This investigation/sampling is being <br />conducted pursuant to Public Resources Code (PRC) sections 44100 and 48020-48028, Solid Waste Disposal and <br />Codisposal Site Cleanup Program.
