To: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept <br /> John Alaniz <br /> From: Alco Iron & Metal Co. 1815 Navy Dr,Stockton, CA <br /> Tom Park <br /> Re: Response to Small Quantity Hazardous Generator Compliance Review Report (October 18, 2022) <br /> #202 HSC 25189.5(a) <br /> Observation #1: <br /> The oil discharge was cleaned up using absorbent and was picked up by Safety Kleen on 8/10/22 <br /> (Attachment#1). The dirt below has been cleaned up and placed into our Yard Sweeping Haz Waste <br /> Drum and labeled. Once Safety Kleen picks up this material, Alco can provide manifest to SJCEH. <br /> Safety Kleen was provided the testing results from San Joaquin County and has instructed us to us the <br /> following waste profile for disposal (Attachment#2). <br /> Observation #2: <br /> The metal hopper in the non ferrous building was sorted out. The dirt with absorbent & metal was <br /> separated from the trash and vegetation. We placed the dirt with absorbent into our Yard Sweeping Haz <br /> Waste Drum and labeled. Once Safety Kleen picks up this material, Alco can provide manifest to <br /> SJCEH.Safety Kleen was provided the testing results from San Joaquin County and has instructed us to <br /> us the following waste profile for disposal (Attachment#2). <br /> Observation #3: <br /> The second metal hopper near the office area was sorted out. The dirt with absorbent was <br /> collected separately from trash. We placed the dirt with absorbent into our Yard Sweeping Haz Waste <br /> Drum and labeled. Once Safety Kleen picks up this material, Alco can provide manifest to SJCEH.Safety <br /> Kleen was provided the testing results from San Joaquin County and has instructed us to us the following <br /> waste profile for disposal (Attachment#2). <br /> In addition to the above correction we have completed additional training with our staff to emphasize the <br /> importance of storing all hazardous material correctly. Please see attached for Haz Com/GHS Training & <br /> Spill Control Safety Training.
