Summary of Environmental Health Evaluation: <br /> On December 15, 2010, the annual routine inspection of this facility was performed. The facility was found to be <br /> in substantial compliance with the environmental health requirements of Title 15 and Title 24 of the California <br /> Code of Regulations at the time of inspection. <br /> NOTES: <br /> Food offered occasionally. The policies and procedures required by Section 1246 (Page 2) should be updated to <br /> reflect the actual practices of serving food at this facility. The applicable items in Section 1243 (page 5) may also <br /> be incorporated into these written policies and procedures relating to the provision of food at this facility. <br /> Section 1246— Food Serving: Food offered occasionally, however, there was no written policy relating to the <br /> provision of food at this facility. The policies and procedures related to this section should address the actual <br /> practice of food purchasing, transportation, holding, serving, and disposal, if this activity does occur at this <br /> facility, even if only on an occasional or rare basis. If food is never served to detainees, the policies and <br /> procedures should reflect this position. <br /> Section 1280— Facility Sanitation, Safety and Maintenance: There was no written policy relating to the <br /> maintenance and cleaning of the holding cells area, including no provision for a regular schedule of <br /> housekeeping tasks and inspections. However,the holding cells were found in a clean condition at the time of <br /> inspection. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Section 1246 — Food Serving: Policies and procedures should be developed to address either the serving of food <br /> at the facility or that no food is ever provided at the facility. Applicable provisions of Section 1243-Food Service <br /> Plan,found on pages 5 and 6 of this checklist, may be incorporated into these policies and procedures. <br /> Section 1280 — Facility Sanitation, Safety and Maintenance: Policies and procedures should be developed to <br /> address the maintenance and cleaning of the holding cells area, and should include provisions for a regular <br /> schedule of housekeeping tasks and inspections to identify and correct unsanitary or unsafe conditions. <br /> City of Stockton Police Department 12/15/2010 PAGE 4 Temp Holding 6/15/2009 <br />
