7. Dinner shall be served at, or as close as is reasonably practical to 1800 hours. Dinner <br /> shall consist of a hamburger with lettuce and tomato, a small order of French fries and 8 <br /> ounces of milk,purchased from an approved commercial food vendor. <br /> 8. Inmate meals should not be physically prepared by department personnel. Unused <br /> portions should be discarded and under no circumstances reheated or otherwise reused.. <br /> S. Bedding and Linen <br /> 1. Each inmate who is expected to remain over night, between the hours of 2200 and <br /> 0600 shall be provided with: <br /> a. One (1) serviceable mattress. <br /> b. One (1) freshly laundered or dry cleaned blanket. A supply of clean blankets <br /> is kept in the booking room closet. Used blankets should be removed from the cell <br /> when the inmate is released from MPD and placed in the designated laundry bin that <br /> is provided. <br /> c. Except in the detoxification cell. <br /> T. Facility Sanitation, Safety and Maintenance <br /> 1. The booking room and jail area shall be cleaned on a regular basis by the City <br /> j anitors. <br /> 2. The Watch Commander,at the beginning of his shift, will inspect the jail and <br /> booking room area for an acceptable level of cleanliness,repair and safety. Building <br /> Maintenance will be notified of anything that requires immediate attention. <br /> 3. Inspection will be noted on the log in the booking room <br /> U. Watch Commander Responsibility <br /> 1. The Watch Commander will be responsible for the daily operation of the Manteca <br /> City Jail. The Watch Commander shall insure that all prisoners are treated humanely. <br /> V. Weekly Inspections <br /> 1. The Services Division Commander, on a weekly basis, will inspect the <br /> Manteca City Jail for conformance with this General Order. The inspection will be <br /> noted on the log in the booking room. <br /> W. Use of Force <br /> 1. The use of force within the Manteca City Jail will be in conformance with the Rules <br /> and Regulations, general Orders and the Policy of the Manteca Police Department. <br /> 2. Prisoners may be restrained when they present a danger to themselves or to others. <br /> The factors to take into consideration when deciding whether to restrain a prisoner <br /> include but are not limited to the likelihood of escape,propensity for violence to self or <br /> others, or self destructive behavior. <br /> 6. <br /> General Order#089-164 <br />
