Most prisoners in <br /> these facilities are in custody for a few hours with <br /> time only for one or two meals. The problem is <br /> determining an acceptable nutritional value for any <br /> one meal. In this instance the intent of the regulation <br /> is best described as requiring the arresting agency to <br /> provide reasonably nutritious meals in their feeding <br /> program. The inspector must take the facility <br /> operation into account and use good judgment when <br /> analyzing the food service. Typically these facilities <br /> have frozen dinners in stock or obtain food from a <br /> local restaurant when needed. Both these options <br /> are reasonable. <br /> 1243 Food Manager(Not applicable for CH.)
