Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan The Home Depot Store#0662 Verisk 3E will be notified by the Emergency Coordinator. Any immediate, verbal notifications will be made to regulatory agencies by Verisk 3E. Subsequent written reports will be prepared and submitted by The Home Depot Store Support Center. Verbal reporting and notification requirements are described in the following subsections. 9.3.1 Internal Reporting Requirements The person discovering the spill or incident first notifies the Emergency Coordinator. The Emergency Coordinator will provide necessary guidance and/or actions to address the incident and determine if the Asset Protection Senior Managers, other Home Depot management, or Verisk 3E must be notified. 9.3.2 External Reporting Requirements If the Emergency Coordinator determines that the Store has experienced a release, fire, or explosion which could threaten human health or the environment outside the Store, the Emergency Coordinator or their designee must immediately call 911 to report the incident and notify local emergency response and contact Verisk 3E. Verisk 3E will then call: • The National Response Center(NRC), if applicable • California State OES (refer to Table 3-2) The verbal report to the designated government official and/or the NRC shall include the following: • Name and telephone number of the person reporting the incident • Name and address of the Store • Time and type of incident (e.g., release, fire) • Name and quantity of material(s) involved, to the extent known • The extent of injuries if any • The possible hazards to human health, or the environment outside the Store, and • Estimated quantity and disposition of recovered materials, if any. Per 22 CCR 66265.56(d)(2), the emergency coordinator will immediately notify the State OES every situation and will report: • Name and telephone number of the reporter; • Name and address of the facility; • Time and type of incident (e.g., release, fire); • Name and quantity of material(s) involved, to the extent known; • The extent of injuries, if any; and, • The possible hazards to human health, or the environment, outside the facility. 9.4 Evacuation If directed by the Emergency Coordinator to begin evacuation, associates will evacuate using the designated routes. In the event of an evacuation the emergency coordinator will sound the horn, followed by an announcement over the PA system.
