The tension of the restraining cord should be checked periodically. <br />2. The hood should be raised and extended to the full cord length by hand. The <br />hood should not be flipped up, relying on the cord to prevent it from hitting the <br />floor. <br />3. No foreign object should be placed on the cover — it should not be used as a tool <br />bench or a stool. <br />4. The cover should not be exposed to any volatile compounds, solvents, alcohols, <br />etc. <br />5. The hold down bolts on all electro/mechanical equipment should be inspected <br />and tightened every 3-6 months. Care should be taken not to over tighten the <br />bolts. <br />6. The hinge should be lubricated every 3 months. <br />7. The unit should never be operated with the hood up. <br />8. The hood should always be lowered by hand. <br />9. Vibration dampeners should be installed separating the Blower/Motor unit from <br />the support pad. These dampeners should be replaced every two (2) years. <br />10. Equipment causing excessive vibration should be repaired or removed. <br />11. The enclosures should be coated once a year with a protective sealant expressly <br />made for FRP Products. <br />
