You are permitted to Install the nozzles at distances other than noted. <br />The nozzles cannot exceed the maximum spacing from the end of the hood nor from center to center. <br />GENERAL DESIGN GUIDELINES: <br />1. The "Zone of Protection" is created by installing the ZD nozzle, part number 14178, in a <br />straight line from each end of the hood to the opposite end. <br />2. All appliances must fall within the Maximum Cooking Hazard size. <br />3. Appliances cannot be located outside the 34" depth for "Zone of Protection". <br />4. Dedicated protection of salamanders, cheese melters, chain broiler or a range with a <br />back -shelf is always in addition to the zone defense nozzles located overhead. <br />S. The ZD nozzles must be placed uniformly at the same height within 46" to 51" above the cooking <br />surface and aimed straight down at the zone centerline, measured 17" from the back of the zone. <br />6. Duct nozzle has a maximum vertical rise above the supply branch line of 4'-0". <br />7.
