Mr. Brian Hitz
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
August 30, 2021

www.arcadis.com
Chevron Surland Homes Site_Case Status Update_08302021
2/3
of the property (B-14). Soil boring B-14 was advanced to a total depth of 8.25 feet bgs. Soil samples were collected
at 5 feet bgs and 8 feet bgs. Dual-nested soil vapor probes were then installed at approximately 5 and 7.5 feet bgs.
No soil vapor samples have been collected to-date. The soil analytical results are provided as Attachment B.
Arcadis is preparing to install an additional dual-nested soil vapor probe (B-16) on the western side of the 2532
Dorset Avenue property based on field observations, soil and soil vapor analytical results, and executed access
agreements. In addition, Arcadis is in the process of securing an access agreement with Union Pacific Railroad
(UPRR) to complete a comprehensive soil vapor sampling event, including historical soil vapor probes B-8 through
B-11, recently installed B-13 and B-14, and proposed B-16. The soil vapor probe locations are shown on Figure 1.
Arcadis is proposing the following schedule, assuming site access is granted by UPRR:
By October 29, 2021: Obtain the fully executed site access agreement with UPRR.
By December 17, 2021: Implement the remaining field work, including installation of B-16 and the
comprehensive soil vapor sampling event outlined above.
By February 4, 2022: Submit the Report describing the findings, recommendations, and human health
screening evaluation.
Please contact me at christine.perez@arcadis.com or (805) 459-2391 if the Central Valley Water Board has any
questions concerning this site.

Sincerely,
Arcadis U.S., Inc.

Christine Perez
Project Manager

Email: Christine.Perez@arcadis.com
Mobile: 805.459.2391

CC.
