Soil piles stored in WMU G shall at all times be completely covered <br /> with a synthetic liner, except during treatment. <br /> 42. Soils containing contaminants other than petroleum hydrocarbons and <br /> BTX (for example, chlorinated hydrocarbons, heavy metals, etc. ) shall <br /> not be placed in WMU G without prior approval of the Board. <br /> 43. WMU G shall be graded so that runoff will collect in a sedimentation <br /> pond dedicated to that unit. Water leaving that sedimentation pond <br /> may be discharged if it does not contain waste. <br /> DRYING OPERATION SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 44. Sludges from water or wastewater treatment plants may be disposed <br /> of by spreading on a one foot thick, compacted clay pad that is <br /> bermed to prevent runoff. Within 48 hours, this waste shall be <br /> disced into the clay pad in such a manner as to allow drying of the <br /> waste with no percolation of liquid through the bottom of the clay <br /> pad. Once the waste has dried, it and any soil it has contacted <br /> shall be moved to WMU D, or WMU H for disposal.
